Testimonials: |
| Angie - I was really impressed with the sound and playability of the Recording King RK-80. They were very easy to set up (they are built to Gibson specs). The mahogany had a nice woodsy tone, and yet clear and bold. The price is EXTREMELY reasonable. If I was to buy a new banjo in this day and age it would be this one. I understand they are coming out with a maple version, which is more to my liking....cant wait to get my hands on that model! Wil Huckabay - BanjoMD.com "I've just recently acquired an RK-R80 and dude.......all I can say is WOW! You hear allot here about them and it's hard sometimes to tell the difference between hype and the real deal, but these banjos are everything that folks are saying about them..and much more! I can now see what the rave is all about. As far as everything else on this banjo, it is perfect. The wood is very impressive....actually, it's freekin' beautiful! The hardware seems to be very good.......the tuners are working perfectly and I'm having no problems with the banjo staying in tune at all. This banjo, in regards to quality and feel, is equal to any that I've played that cost 2 to 3 times as much so there's no problem there either. The sound is truely awesome! Again, it sounds better than most of the other high end banjos that I've had a chance to play." Michael |
