"Wil - It was a real pleasure meeting you and your wife, Casey, last Friday.  I can't thank you enough.  Both banjos play AND sound so much better that I am finding it hard to put them down.  Having a nice playing/sounding banjo makes you WANT to play more.  Not only did you work wonders setting them up, but I feel I gained valuable knowledge on how to KEEP them in good shape. Thank you for taking the time to see me." Dave Henning, LA

, OH MY GOSH!!! I love this banjo, the sound is amazing, even with me playing. You did a great job on setting it up. I just wanted to let you know and thank you. Diann

Customer Testimonials:

Hello Wil, I recently purchased your Banjo Building Blocks Cut n Paste book and I just LOVE it. I have been playing nearly 2 years and your book has come along at exactly the time and point that I need it. You better hurry up and get the new book ready, cause I'm gonna be ready for it before too long. Indeed, you have put together a very good learning tool. Thanks a lot and keep writing more stuff. Ross Fox, Ringgold, GA

Dear Mr. Huckabay, I received your CnP course two days ago. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am. This appears to be exactly what I need at this point in my learning experence. This may be the greatest book ever for this type of lesson. Thank you. Dick Chesser

Wil - I purchased your book and am finding it lots of fun. I see the merits of learning to use the licks (or any of my favorite licks) in a structured manner. It kind of 'implies' the melody and works fine for where I'm at. I like the songs you picked and I'm able to play along with your slow versions without too much trouble. The full speed tempos will take a while!!!! I think it is good the way you actually sing and perform the song in the same manner as one would find encounter them in a real jam session or performance. Well done.

I have listed licks from books before, but never took it far enough to be able to actually use them in the manner you do. Your 'Cut 'n Paste' puts it all together nicely. It's fun and I am enjoying 'playing' with it by experimenting with different licks. I am already looking forward to your Volume 2..Dave H.

, I picked up my banjo from Angie Friday afternoon (it was the Morgan Monroe MGB2C).  It sounds great thank you.  Being from Alaska where it is very dry I just wanted to see if there is anything I need do to keep the banjo going strong and sounding great.  Angie told me about the neck and keeping it oiled with lemon oil.  Will there be any minor adjustments required to head tension due to the dry air?  I was hoping to attend one of your setup classes, but I doubt I will make it back any time soon, perhaps you can have someone video the class and offer it for sale in the future.  I am also looking forward to your new book I picked up CnP vol 1 and understand the concepts put forth and look forward to working through it .  Anyway, the main reason for this was to thank you for an excellent job and for getting it done so quickly.  Thanks, Dave

From Joe Traudt owner of Recording King RK99 set up by Wil Huckabay:

SERVICE and SOUND: I played a Gibson Granada Golden Flying Eagle at a shop (about $5,500), and amazingly, the RK-99 has smiliar looks, but also sounds just like that; classy, elegant, very clear  sound without being overwhelming or harsh, and the Tone Ring in here makes this thing ring long, clear and beautiful, right up to the top of the neck.  Y ou don't have to hit these stings hardly at all, and it just sings. So, I got the Granada sound and got to keep $3,500 as well! (Oh, it looks better than the Gibson as well, of course).

Wil Huckabay set mine up, including 5th string spikes, and it was great to go right out of the box when I got it.  I like the action nice and low, so it's effortless to play anywhere on the fretboard. Thanks again Wil.

I also like the strings and Katz Eye bridge that came with this as well. Oh, and it comes with the Recording King case which is excellent.

Thanks to Angie and Wil both for helping me with my many questions and service and wonderful shopping experience. This makes a big purchase a real pleasure.  Joe Traudt
